With experience as a bassoonist and music teacher spanning the United Kingdom, Portugal,and China, Claudio has been recognized for his talent and dedication. He received a fullscholarship to pursue both his Bachelor and Master's degrees in performance with distinctionat the Royal Northern College of Music, and later obtained a second Master's degree withdistinction in music education from Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco in Portugal.
As a qualified teacher, Claudio has taught at all levels of education, from elementary touniversity level. He was appointed as Associate Bassoon Teacher at the Royal NorthernCollege of Music through The Leverhulme Junior Fellowship, where he taught individualbassoon lessons and chamber music classes to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Hewas also employed as a woodwind teacher at Redcourt St Anselm's Secondary School andCalday Grange Grammar School, and became the leader of the bassoon department at boththe Espinho Academy of Music and São João da Madeira Academy of Music, where he taughtbassoon and chamber music.

Claudio's talent as a performing bassoonist has also been widely recognized, having beenawarded the Solti Foundation Award, Claudio Abbado European Young Musicians Trust,Trevor Wye Chamber Music Award, and Soloist Competition Award. He has performedworldwide as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player with renowned orchestrassuch as the BBC Philharmonic, Halle Orchestra, the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, PortoSymphony Orchestra, UNESCO World Orchestra, and Al Bustan Festival Orchestra.

In 2018, Claudio was employed as a bassoon and Music teacher at Wycombe AbbeyInternational School, where he taught Key Stage 3, IGSCE curriculum, ABRSM music theory,and individual woodwind lessons. Currently, he is the Head of Upper School Music at HarrowInternational School Hong Kong, where he is responsible for academic music and developinga rich variety of opportunities through the academic curriculum, Super-Curriculum, and Co-Curricular Music programme to inspire, encourage, and empower pupils to achieve their bestin music.

In addition to his teaching and performing career, Claudio is also active in composition andproducing, having released an album for bassoon and electronics and six singles on Spotify.
